I am Just Anneke

I thought this movie was a necessity for the blog, not only does it discuss Anneke’s gender identity but also hockey!  Hockey is my favorite sport so of course this video made it into the blog(AND its just really awesome).  I think the way Anneke and her parents take on her not choosing necessarily identify with her birth sex is really great and supportive.  Instead of making Anneke make big decisions, they chose to have her take hormones to suppress puberty until Anneke decides if she would like to live as a “Tom Boy” or identify as trans.  Excellent short documentary, check it out!
